Trade in Counterfeit and Pirated Goods: Mapping the Economic Impact. Written by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) The report attempts to measure the immense size of global counterfeit trade. The report analyzes customs seizure data to determine the size of global counterfeit trade. The report estimates the value of global trade in counterfeit and pirated goods to be at USD 461 billion in 2013, compared with total imports in world trade of USD 17.9 trillion.
